Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Group Financial Controller to lead our consolidated reporting function from our London office. Reporting to the Deputy CFO, you will partner with senior stakeholders and private‑equity investors to ensure robust governance and a technology‑enabled finance operation across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare high‑quality monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in full compliance with IFRS and US GAAP.
• Oversee and continuously improve the month‑end close process, maintaining strong financial controls.
• Manage the Group audit cycle, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors and ensuring timely resolution of findings.
• Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across all operating jurisdictions.
• Develop and maintain Group accounting policies and provide technical guidance on complex transactions.
• Monitor emerging accounting standards and produce technical papers and policy updates.
• Partner with FP&A, Tax, Legal and Commercial teams on strategic initiatives and transactions.
• Drive finance transformation through automation, ERP optimisation and adoption of data‑ and AI‑enabled tools.
• Collaborate with the India‑based Global Capability Centre to standardise processes and maintain data integrity.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA) with 10+ years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong technical accounting expertise, especially in Group consolidations.
• Proven experience in multi‑entity, international organisations.
• Deep understanding of audit, controls and financial governance.
• Experience in a private‑equity‑backed business and exposure to offshore finance teams is desirable.
• Involvement in M&A, transformation or integration programmes is a plus.
