Service Technician – Ironwood at The Ranch

About the role

The Service Technician for Ironwood at The Ranch will ensure that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. Working on‑site, you will respond to resident service requests, perform preventative maintenance and prepare vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing repairs and inspecting finished work.
• Manage inventory of tools, equipment and supplies, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety meetings.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret work orders and follow established maintenance procedures.
• Attention to detail for inspections, documentation and inventory management.
• Commitment to safety standards and willingness to attend regular safety briefings.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor, lift equipment and work in various weather conditions.
