Software Engineer

About the role

Sing King is looking for a full‑time Software Engineer to shape the next generation of its content‑management system (CMS). You will work within the Data & Tools team, turning ambiguous problems into scalable web‑based tools that support the company’s music‑gaming ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and evolution of the CMS, defining scope, planning improvements and new features in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Maintain and extend the internal REST API that centralises business logic for content creation, validation, and publishing.
• Redesign the CMS frontend to deliver a fast, intuitive user experience using React.js or a similar framework.
• Build automation workflows for tasks such as thumbnail generation, media transcoding, uploading, scheduling, playlist creation and web‑scraping.
• Prototype lightweight web‑apps, services and bots (e.g., Discord/Slack) that empower internal teams or enable fan interactions.
• Partner with data experts to integrate models, improve data quality and implement fuzzy matching or LLM‑assisted enrichment.

Required profile

• Strong organisational ability to manage multiple technical priorities with excellent time management.

Required skills

• Python development, preferably with FastAPI.
• PostgreSQL database experience.
• Frontend development using React.js or a comparable library.
• Design and implementation of RESTful APIs.
• Automation and scripting for media processing, web‑scraping and workflow orchestration.
• Experience building bots or integrations for platforms such as Discord or Slack.
