About the role
Keoghs LLP is looking for a motivated solicitor or barrister to join its in‑house advocacy team in Liverpool. The position offers a clear pathway to become a specialist advocate, working on a wide range of court and paperwork matters in defendant insurance work, with training and support from senior team members.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake advocacy, drafting and advisory work including pleadings, Stage 3 hearings, interlocutory hearings and small‑claims trials.
- Assist senior colleagues in delivering advocacy and litigation training and updates for fee earners.
- Provide client‑facing and product development tasks as required.
- Contribute to the development of the in‑house advocacy team and support its growth.
Required profile
- Full practising certificate for barristers or Higher Rights of Audience for solicitors.
- Newly qualified (NQ) to up to 8 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
- Experience in insurance fraud, general personal injury, EL/PL or professional negligence is advantageous.
- Strong A‑Levels and a university degree.
