Staff Nurse Vaccinator

About the role

The NHS Western Isles is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join its Vaccination Team at the Balivanich Community Clinic. Working 21.6 hours per week, you will help deliver a safe, efficient, and equitable vaccination service across the Western Isles.

Key responsibilities

• Administer vaccines to eligible patients in a variety of community settings.
• Collaborate with the Community Nursing Team to ensure consistent access to vaccination services.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to NHS safety and infection‑control standards.
• Support outreach programmes during peak vaccination periods and provide routine care outside those times.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (Band 5) with eligibility to work in the UK.
• Willingness to register with the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
• Commitment to NHS values of equality, diversity, and patient‑centred care.

Required skills

• Competence in vaccine administration and monitoring.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

What we offer

• Band 5 salary range £34,544 – £43,039 pro rata.
