Store Manager – Retail Leadership

About the role

As a Store Manager you will lead a high‑performing retail team at Holland & Barrett in Abingdon, creating a customer‑first environment and driving commercial success. You will be responsible for all aspects of store operations, from sales and profit‑and‑loss management to stock accuracy and health‑and‑safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and motivate a store team to achieve sales and service targets.
• Recruit, coach and retain talent, fostering a culture of learning and performance.
• Manage store finances, including sales, profit‑and‑loss and budgeting.
• Maintain stock accuracy, product availability and visual merchandising standards.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational standards and health & safety regulations.
• Execute marketing promotions, planograms and visual displays consistently.
• Utilise technology to improve team performance and customer experience.
• Collaborate with the Regional Manager and peer stores to share best practices.
• Complete Qualified to Advise training to provide trusted product advice.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a retail environment.
• Strong commercial awareness with understanding of financial performance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to inspire others.
• Analytical mindset with data‑driven decision making.
• Passion for health, wellbeing and customer service.
• Adaptable, organised and able to manage priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
