Tax Manager – Global Mobility Services – Financial Services

About the role

KPMG is seeking a Tax Manager to join its Global Mobility Services (GMS) team within the People Taxes practice, focusing on large financial services clients. Based in London, you will lead day‑to‑day coordination of client engagements and ensure UK tax compliance for assignees.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily global coordination and UK service delivery for client engagements, supported by junior staff.
• Oversee UK tax compliance and collaborate with the KPMG Centre of Excellence on assignee compliance.
• Provide cross‑border advisory covering tax, social security, process, policy and project management.
• Work closely with International Social Security, Employment Tax, GMS Technology, Reward, Immigration and KPMG member firms on multidisciplinary projects.
• Deliver UK tax technical analysis and advice, and keep clients informed of global mobility and UK tax developments.
• Support VIP assignee services, including arrival/departure briefings for senior assignees.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, manage engagement finances, and coach junior staff.
• Contribute to GMS business development and proposal activities.

Required profile

• Experience in expatriate/global mobility tax services within a Big 4 or equivalent environment.
• Energetic, committed and ambitious with high personal responsibility.
• Ability to analyse complex information, communicate clearly and work under pressure.
• Strong tax technical expertise and sound professional judgement.
• Team‑player who collaborates widely and invests in the development of colleagues.
