Trade Validation SME – Credit Derivatives (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Trade Validation Subject Matter Expert to join the Product Control / Trade Validation team of a leading global investment bank in London. The position works on a hybrid model, requiring 2‑3 days on‑site each week, and will be engaged via an umbrella arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Credit Derivatives SME across the EMEA Trade Validation perimeter, providing functional expertise to production teams.
• Own and support change, migration and transformation initiatives affecting Credit Derivatives.
• Analyse and map end‑to‑end Front‑to‑Back trade‑life‑cycle workflows, identifying and resolving complex cross‑functional issues.
• Drive process re‑engineering, automation and control improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Partner with Technology to resolve systemic issues, improve production performance and enhance service level agreements.
• Define business requirements for IT developments and support prioritisation of operations technology initiatives.
• Develop and enhance KPIs/KRIs, analyse incidents and contribute to remediation plans.
• Provide training, mentoring and knowledge transfer across global teams.

Required profile

• Professional qualification with expert technical knowledge of Credit Derivatives and the Front‑to‑Back chain, typically gained at a top‑tier investment bank.
• Demonstrated experience in migration, transformation and change‑management projects.
• Strong understanding of operations policies, regulations, operational risk and control frameworks.
• Proven ability to work with Sales & Trading, Middle Office, Back Office, Technology and global project teams.
