About the role
We are seeking a proactive Transport Planner to join our fast‑paced logistics team in Epping. You will coordinate collections and deliveries, optimise routes for cost‑effectiveness, and ensure compliance with driver hours and transport legislation.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and schedule routes for collections and deliveries.
- Communicate daily with drivers to convey schedules and updates.
- Liaise with customers to confirm delivery windows and address issues.
- Source and manage subcontractors to support capacity needs.
- Brief drivers before shifts and debrief after completion.
- Produce regular reports on fleet utilisation and performance.
- Handle administrative tasks related to transport operations.
Required profile
- Previous experience in transport or logistics.
- Knowledge of driver hours, tachograph regulations and Working Time Directive.
- Strong organisational ability and capacity to work under pressure.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
