Used Car Manager (Automotive Experience Essential)

About the role

A growing automotive organisation is seeking an experienced Used Car Manager to lead its UK used‑vehicle strategy. You will shape a national approved‑used programme, influence dealer performance and support the long‑term commercial success of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network‑wide used‑car sales, stock turn, profitability and commercial KPIs.
• Identify market opportunities and implement initiatives to improve volume and margin.
• Partner with franchised retailers on stock acquisition, pricing and vehicle presentation.
• Develop and deliver attractive retail finance campaigns with finance partners.
• Lead the manufacturer‑approved used‑vehicle programme, enhancing warranties, preparation standards and customer benefits.
• Support residual‑value performance and manage remarketing activities.
• Oversee retailer audit processes to ensure compliance with approved‑used standards.
• Provide market intelligence and competitor analysis to influence commercial decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Used Car Manager, Used Vehicle Manager, Remarketing Manager or in an OEM used‑car role.
• Strong knowledge of the UK used‑vehicle marketplace, valuation and dealer network dynamics.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders across finance, remarketing, network development and dealer operations.
