About the role
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Liverpool from September 2026. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in a young person's academic and emotional development.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with a specific student to support their learning and progress across the curriculum.
- Assist with adapting lesson materials to meet the student's individual needs.
- Promote student engagement, confidence, and independence.
- Liaise effectively with teachers, SENCO, and parents/carers.
- Support the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management.
Required profile
- Experience working with young people in an education setting, particularly those with additional learning needs (desirable).
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable.
- Able to work collaboratively with staff.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is an advantage.
