360 Excavator Driver (22‑tonne) – Lifting Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced 360 Excavator Driver with a lifting‑operations endorsement to operate a 22‑tonne tracked machine on a major construction project in West Sussex. The role involves setting up the site compound, handling heavy materials and ensuring safe, efficient machine operation. The position is full‑time, temporary and paid at £21‑£23 per hour. You will work closely with site supervisors to ensure all lifting plans are followed and safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the initial site compound and related infrastructure.
• Unload lorries, materials and heavy equipment using lifting tackle.
• Handle, move and position sheet piling across the site.
• Operate the 22‑tonne excavator safely in line with lifting plans.

Required profile

• Valid CPCS or NPORS card for 360 Excavator (above 10 tonnes) with Lifting Operations/Object Handling endorsement.
• Current Safety‑Critical Medical certificate.
• Extensive experience operating 22‑tonne machines, heavy lifting and sheet‑pile handling.
• Full PPE and the right to work in the UK.
