About the role

Join the 'Resettle North East' service, a vital Ministry of Justice-funded initiative dedicated to helping men transitioning from custody to stable community living. As an Accommodation Support Worker within our relief pool, you will play a crucial role in reducing homelessness and supporting reintegration through meaningful, hands-on guidance.

Main Missions

• Provide expert advice, support, and guidance to help service users secure and maintain stable housing.
• Develop comprehensive support plans and conduct thorough risk assessments to ensure safety and progress.
• Identify individual needs and risks, proactively referring clients to appropriate specialist services.
• Manage and maintain accurate digital records in compliance with Ministry of Justice performance standards.
• Monitor progress and provide consistent follow-up to ensure long-term housing stability.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging backgrounds.
• Strong ability to motivate others and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
• Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and de-escalating difficult behaviors.
• Knowledge of local housing legislation, safeguarding protocols, and community support services.
• Must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle for travel across Tees Valley, Durham, and Northumberland.
• Ability to pass national security and prison clearance checks.
