Account Manager

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Account Manager to join a leading B2B and sustainability organisation in Birmingham. Working Monday‑to‑Friday, you will manage an existing portfolio of SME customers, acting as their trusted commercial partner and driving growth through upselling, cross‑selling and contract renewals.

Key responsibilities

• Own and develop a portfolio of SME accounts.
• Build strong relationships with key decision‑makers.
• Identify and act on upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
• Proactively manage contract renewals and customer retention.
• Create account growth plans to maximise lifetime value.
• Maintain accurate sales pipeline and forecasts in Salesforce.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
• Deliver value‑led commercial conversations that strengthen long‑term partnerships.

Required profile

• Commercially driven and relationship‑focused.
• Proven track record of growing existing customer accounts.
• Experience in B2B account management, customer success or internal sales.
• Strong organisational and pipeline‑management abilities.
• Proactive, consultative approach to customer management.

Required skills

• Salesforce (or similar CRM) experience.
