Account Specialist – Student Support Services

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Account Specialist to join our Student Support Services team in Manchester. You will act as the main liaison between universities, specialist support workers and students receiving Disabled Students’ Allowance support, ensuring seamless delivery of tailored assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a premium candidate experience for specialist support workers and students.
• Manage a high‑volume caseload of students and support specialists, matching needs with appropriate services.
• Collaborate with DSA assessors and university partners to secure and monitor support packages.
• Conduct inbound and outbound communications with university stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships.
• Meet and exceed operational targets in a fast‑paced environment.
• Travel across the region to visit universities and schools, requiring a valid UK driver’s licence.

Required profile

• Strong empathy, emotional intelligence and confidence when interacting with diverse individuals.
• Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities, able to prioritise urgent requests.
• Comfortable working in a high‑performance, target‑driven setting.
• Valid UK driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the North West.
