Accounting Expert (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking experienced Accounting Experts to join our AI‑driven project on a freelance, remote basis. You will translate real‑world accounting workflows into structured tasks for AI systems and evaluate the outputs for accuracy, logic, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Convert accounting processes into clear, machine‑readable tasks for AI models.
• Assess AI‑generated financial outputs for correctness, logical reasoning, and adherence to US GAAP (and optionally French GAAP).
• Work on use cases such as financial reporting, auditing, taxation, and corporate accounting.
• Identify gaps, edge cases, and inconsistencies in AI‑driven financial reasoning.
• Document assumptions, analytical reasoning, and decision‑making processes.
• Provide structured feedback to improve AI model accuracy and domain understanding.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience (8 + years preferred).
• Recent hands‑on work as a CPA, Tax Accountant, Internal Auditor, or Regulatory Specialist.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with French GAAP is a plus.
• Experience with financial statements, regulatory reporting, or audit processes.
• Detail‑oriented and able to evaluate nuanced financial scenarios.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, remote environment.
