Activity Coordinator – Care Home (Full‑Time)

About the role

As an Activity Coordinator at Ashley House Care Home, you will be the chief fun officer, creating a vibrant, joy‑filled environment for our residents. You will design and deliver a variety of activities that promote wellbeing, social interaction, and therapeutic benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and lead morning and afternoon activity sessions, including arts & crafts, baking, book clubs, quizzes and gentle exercise.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date activity planner and manage the allocated activity budget.
• Arrange birthday celebrations and personalised one‑to‑one sessions using reminiscence tools, puzzles or simple conversation.
• Liaise with local performers, community groups and external providers to organise outings and special events.
• Support the home’s social media channels with relevant content as needed.

Required profile

• Creative thinker with a wealth of activity ideas and the ability to tailor programmes to individual resident needs.
• Strong organisational skills, capable of managing budgets, paperwork and shifting priorities.
• Genuine desire to improve the lives of older adults, with a friendly, enthusiastic attitude.
