Aerospace Technical Assistant – London

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Technical Assistant to join our growing London Market insurance business. The role involves managing complex technical processes, supporting operational teams, and ensuring accurate premium calculations for aerospace risks.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and process complex slip and endorsement wordings.
• Prepare and maintain premium calculations, including brokerage and tax.
• Provide technical guidance to Account Handlers on policy documentation.
• Manage and resolve Velonetic, insurer and IBA queries.
• Act as the main technical contact for the offshore processing team.
• Support administration of complex aerospace portfolios with high technical accuracy.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth business processing.
• Maintain records in line with Lloyd's and London Market procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Technical Assistant or similar role in the London Market aerospace insurance sector.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace insurance products and risks.
• Proven ability to produce accurate premium calculations.
• Understanding of bureau processing, Velonetic and IBA procedures.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and maintain high attention to detail.
