Aircraft Refueller/Handler – Permanent

About the role

The Aircraft Refueller/Handler ensures the fleet is correctly positioned and fuelled to meet flight‑operations and base‑maintenance schedules at RAF Valley. The role involves safe handling of fuel, compliance with aviation regulations and supporting busy flight operations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and refuel aircraft in line with JIG, IATA and health‑and‑safety regulations, including rotors‑running refuels.
• Supply fuel using tanker vehicles, verifying correct quantities are delivered.
• Conduct vehicle quality‑control checks, report defects and incidents.
• Maintain health‑and‑safety standards and internal security policies at all times.

Required profile

• Proven aircraft refuelling experience.
• Aircraft handling experience with strong health‑and‑safety awareness.
• Experience supporting busy flight operations.
• Desirable: helicopter refuelling experience, including rotors‑running.

Required skills

• Valid LGV C+E driving licence with ADR Class 3 endorsement.
• Digital Tachograph Driver Card (desirable).
