Service Manager – Operations Team (Exeter)

About the role

The Service Manager will join the Operations Team at the Exeter Operation Centre, overseeing a large fleet of service drivers who deliver waste disposal products and services across the South of England and beyond. You will support the Centre Manager, ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, and maintain high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Centre Manager in managing depot productivity and service quality.
• Plan resources and develop members of the service team.
• Ensure all processes and procedures comply with relevant legislation and PHS health and safety policies.
• Check and maintain vehicles and equipment to keep colleagues and customers safe.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ management experience in operations/transport logistics (CPC preferred).
• Energetic, inspirational leader able to meet customer expectations.
• Valid full driving licence (held at least 12 months, max 6 points).
• Understanding of Health & Safety, preferably IOSH trained.
• Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills.
• Resource and time management abilities, with prior transport experience.
• IT proficiency.
