Aircraft Technician – Heathrow

About the role

Join Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, as an Aircraft Technician at London Heathrow. You will work within a professional maintenance team, supporting the safety, reliability and performance of Emirates’ fleet, including A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and approved structural repairs on aircraft, engines and components.
• Perform component replacements and other maintenance activities under the direction of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
• Use and interpret approved documentation such as the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC) and Component Maintenance Manual (CMM).
• Assist LAEs with walk‑around checks, troubleshooting, defect rectification and modification work.
• Follow safety procedures for refuelling, fluid replenishment and system servicing, and maintain clean, FOD‑free work areas.

Required profile

• Recognised aircraft maintenance qualification or apprenticeship.
• Relevant experience in aircraft maintenance; A380 experience is a plus.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Unrestricted right to live and work in the UK and a valid UK driving licence.

What we offer

• Competitive salary around £55,000 in the first year, with shift and licence allowances.
• Shift pattern 4 on / 4 off, no night shifts.
• Annual leave up to 26 days plus bank holidays, staff travel benefits, private healthcare and health cash plan.
• Contractual bonus of one week’s salary each November, increasing to two weeks after five years.
