AOG Engineer – Aircraft Line & AOG Maintenance

About the role

The AOG Engineer is responsible for the day‑to‑day management of aircraft line and AOG maintenance inputs and projects, ensuring all work complies with the organisation's Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and regulatory approvals. The role requires rapid deployment to meet demanding customer expectations while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Travel at short notice to provide AOG response and line maintenance support.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and internal teams during deployments.
• Ensure all work is performed within the limits of the company’s MOE and the aircraft’s state of registry.
• Wear company uniform and uphold professional appearance at all times.
• Manage ownership, stock control, and replenishment of the AOG response vehicle.
• Maintain the vehicle’s appearance to reflect a high level of customer perception.
• When not on AOG duty, act as part‑maintenance staff reporting to the Head of Maintenance while remaining on standby.
• Comply with company health, quality, safety policies and actively promote safety culture.

Required profile

• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proven resource‑management and leadership capabilities.
• Advanced written and oral communication skills.
• Recognised apprenticeship in aviation maintenance.
• Current knowledge of all required aircraft types.
• Full unrestricted B1 or B2 licence (B2 includes electrical privileges).
• Engine ground‑run approval.
