Application Modernisation Consultant – Gen & Mainframe

About the role

TXP Technology x People is seeking an Application Modernisation Consultant with deep expertise in Broadcom Gen and mainframe environments. You will work directly with UK clients to modernise, upgrade and re‑platform legacy applications, helping them unlock value from their existing technology investments.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on Gen strategy, application modernisation and system re‑architecture.
• Deliver Gen upgrades, re‑platforming projects and large‑scale transformation initiatives.
• Evaluate existing applications, identify improvement opportunities and produce proof‑of‑concept prototypes.
• Manage delivery activities, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule and quality targets.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary technical point of contact.
• Support business development by contributing to proposals, RFPs and ITTs.
• Contribute to the evolution of TXP’s modernisation methodology and technical assets.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering Gen product suite implementations, upgrades and custom development.
• Strong background in application re‑platforming and large‑scale transformation projects.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
