Applications Lead

About the role

The Applications Lead will be responsible for managing and resolving complex Oracle HCM incidents, overseeing system developments, and ensuring smooth operation of Oracle Cloud updates. This fully remote position works closely with business users, third‑party support, and internal stakeholders to optimise the use of Oracle Cloud HCM solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve complex Oracle HCM incidents raised by business users.
• Manage system developments and changes from specification through to implementation.
• Oversee quarterly Oracle Cloud updates, testing, and essential maintenance activities.
• Coordinate feeder system integrations into Oracle Cloud within the PaaS solution.
• Collaborate with third‑party technical support providers.
• Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders on best practices for Oracle Cloud usage.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience leading technical management of Oracle Cloud HCM modules, including Core HR, Payroll, Absence Management, Time & Labor, ORC, and BIP Publisher.
• Proven ability to maintain and configure Oracle Cloud HCM modules to meet business requirements and troubleshoot issues.
• Experience using service‑desk systems to manage user queries through to resolution.
• Knowledge of change‑management processes, system configuration, and testing techniques.
• Understanding of Local Authority IT functions and requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact at all organisational levels.
