Asset Based Lending Analyst

About the role

The Asset Based Lending Analyst will support the growth of the company’s ABL portfolio by working closely with the sales team to evaluate, progress and convert new business opportunities. The role combines analytical, commercial and credit underwriting responsibilities to ensure high‑quality client onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Support presentation of potential ABL clients and assist Regional Sales Directors throughout the sales, credit underwriting and onboarding process.
• Engage professional introducers such as debt advisors, lawyers, other lenders and private equity firms.
• Identify and contact prospective clients via email or phone, schedule meetings and record activity in the CRM system.
• Assist in pitch preparation, develop client proposals and prepare credit submissions for the credit committee.
• Ensure accurate, error‑free processing of proposals and applications in line with client needs and company objectives.
• Maintain the sales pipeline, update prospect and client records, and support marketing initiatives and industry events.
• Adhere to compliance regulations, company values and any reasonable requests from line management.

Required profile

• Strong financial analysis and modelling capability, with the ability to read and interpret financial statements.
• Experience or interest in asset‑based lending, credit underwriting and client acquisition.
• Proficiency in using CRM systems to track opportunities and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales, credit and operations teams.
