Assistant Client Manager

About the role

We are seeking an ACA/ACCA‑qualified accountant to step beyond a traditional Senior Accountant role, manage a client portfolio, develop relationships and lead a team at a progressive accountancy and business advisory firm in Manchester.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of clients, including owner‑managed businesses
• Act as a trusted point of contact and provide advice
• Oversee the delivery of accounts and wider services
• Lead, coach and develop members of the accounts team
• Work alongside Directors and other departments to deliver the best possible service
• Identify opportunities to strengthen existing relationships and support business growth

Required profile

• ACA/ACCA‑qualified Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager ready for more responsibility
• Strong experience within an accountancy practice
• Experience managing a varied client portfolio
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
• Confidence to lead and support junior team members
• Commercial and client‑focused mindset
• Experience working with owner‑managed businesses
