Assistant Director – M&A Technology

About the role

We are partnering with a leading professional services firm that specialises in M&A and technology consulting. The Assistant Director – M&A Technology will join a market‑leading team delivering complex, high‑profile transactions across the UK and internationally, working across the full M&A lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support complex M&A technology assignments throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Provide analysis, recommendations and viewpoints on IT and technology matters.
• Develop and review transaction documentation such as integration and separation blueprints, Transitional Service Agreements and steering committee materials.
• Oversee delivery of high‑quality transaction reports and other work products.
• Model technology integrations and separations, identifying synergies, one‑off and ongoing costs.
• Provide Programme Management Office leadership for technology workstreams.
• Engage senior client stakeholders, manage risks and facilitate decision‑making.
• Research and analyse technology cost data, supplier contracts and licensing agreements.
• Lead workshops, executive reporting, benefits tracking and stakeholder management.
• Contribute to business development, client proposals and thought‑leadership material.
• Lead and develop diverse teams in an inclusive environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering M&A technology assignments on buy‑side, sell‑side, IPO and refinancing projects.
• Strong commercial consulting expertise with exposure to senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage programme delivery, risk and quality standards.
• Experience in business development and client proposal preparation.
• Leadership experience in developing and managing inclusive teams.
