Assistant Manager – Café, Deli & Coffee Bar

About the role

Vacherin is looking for an Assistant Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of its café, deli and coffee bar in central London. You will work closely with front‑of‑house teams, the Head Chef and event coordinators to deliver premium service to high‑end clients while maintaining a positive, inclusive team culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the café, deli and coffee bar, ensuring quality, service and health‑and‑safety standards are met.
• Deliver high‑standard customer service and respond promptly to client feedback.
• Coordinate with the Head Chef on menus and food offerings.
• Lead, develop and schedule a team of nine staff members, including kitchen personnel.
• Support the floor during service while handling administrative systems and paperwork.
• Organise and execute a range of events, from fine‑dining experiences to larger canapé functions.
• Drive team engagement, performance and a positive workplace culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing and developing teams in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
• Hands‑on leader who is visible on the floor and comfortable working with high‑end clients.
• Background in restaurant, café or hospitality operations, ideally with fine‑dining exposure.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to act on feedback and continuously improve.
• Organised, able to balance day‑to‑day operations with event coordination.
• Excellent people skills and a natural ability to create a positive team environment.
