Assistant Site Manager

About the role

Persimmon Homes is looking for an Assistant Site Manager to support the Site Manager on a construction project in Mansfield. You will help ensure the development is delivered on time, to specification and in line with health, safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing the construction site to meet budget, timeline and quality targets.
• Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with Group quality and safety guidelines.
• Liaise with external parties such as warranty providers, local authorities and utility companies to keep the build programme on track.
• Maintain accurate site records, including inductions, timesheets, incident reports and quality checklists.
• Oversee material ordering, delivery and storage according to Group procedures.
• Supervise the workforce and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed to the required standards and within budget.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Care teams to resolve customer issues and provide progress updates.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental policies for all site personnel and visitors.

Required profile

• Experience in the house‑building industry.
• Knowledge of NHBC, LABC or Premier standards and relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Current CSCS Card; SMSTS certification is preferred.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Supervision is desirable, with training provided if needed.
