About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Traffic Engineer to join our Traffic Engineering team in Brixworth, Northamptonshire. You will support the design and delivery of improvement schemes for road safety, walking and cycling links, and traffic engineering projects for North and West Northamptonshire Councils.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting with planning and implementation of traffic engineering schemes to specification and budget.
- Developing and producing detailed AutoCAD drawings.
- Preparing Bills of Quantities and necessary project documentation.
- Collaborating with designers to develop technical solutions.
Required profile
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Civil Engineering with some experience in traffic engineering or highway design.
- Understanding of basic traffic/highway design principles.
- Awareness of Health & Safety requirements, including CDM 2015.
