Associate, Asset Management

About the role

The Associate will support the Asset Management team in executing day‑to‑day investment asset management for UK student accommodation. You will work closely with portfolio, transactions and other supporting teams to deliver performance targets and implement value‑add strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor leasing performance, income, expenses and their impact on asset returns.
• Support execution of investment strategies, including NOI maximisation and value‑add initiatives.
• Build and maintain complex financial models to forecast cash flows and investment returns.
• Prepare and present annual operational and capital budgets for senior management and capital partner approval.
• Produce monthly and quarterly reports for capital partners and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor debt covenants and ensure compliance.
• Prepare proposals and portfolio performance presentations for internal investment committees.
• Analyse market, industry and competitor data to inform strategy.

Required profile

• Degree (2:1 or above) in finance, economics, engineering, real estate or a related analytical discipline.
• Demonstrable passion for real estate and interest in business strategy.
• Experience in an analytical role within asset management, investment banking, private equity or a related sector.
• Strong numerical ability with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting financial data to senior stakeholders.
