Facilities Manager

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Facilities Manager to support the Community Manager in delivering operational and financial targets for residential properties. The role oversees technical services, property maintenance and ensures that buildings, grounds and common areas meet health, safety and asset performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assign and monitor work orders from resident requests, ensuring timely completion to required standards.
• Oversee mechanical, electrical and other building services to extend equipment life and report major defects to senior management.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders such as local councils, fire services and project managers to maintain statutory compliance.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules, contractor performance reviews and monthly reporting.
• Control budgets, purchase orders and invoice processing while maintaining inventory of spare parts and tools.

Required profile

• Minimum A‑Level/HND education with strong written and numerical skills.
• Qualification in electrical/mechanical engineering or plumbing (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and building‑related statutory regulations.
• Experience supervising contractors and managing maintenance in a premium residential or hotel environment.
