Associate Director, Investor and ESG Communications

About the role

Join Black Sun Global’s Insights & Advisory team to lead investor and ESG communications for FTSE‑100, FTSE‑250 and international clients, shaping compelling value‑creation narratives across corporate and sustainability reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex annual report and corporate reporting programmes, from scoping and content strategy to final review.
• Advise clients on integrating sustainability and ESG into their narrative, supporting CSRD, ISSB and UK SRS reporting.
• Develop and grow client relationships, lead pitches and new‑business proposals across reporting and ESG services.
• Mentor and manage a small team of consultants, driving knowledge‑sharing and internal improvement projects.

Required profile

• 7 + years of experience in listed corporate reporting, sustainability consultancy, communications agency, in‑house IR or Big 4 advisory.
• Deep, up‑to‑date knowledge of corporate reporting frameworks and ESG regulations.
• Proven ability to run board workshops, shape value‑creation narratives and influence senior stakeholders.
