Associate Quantity Surveyor – Green Energy Projects

About the role

Join a leading electricity transmission network operator as they invest £29 billion in decarbonisation. As an Associate Quantity Surveyor you will support the delivery of large‑scale green energy infrastructure, working on high‑value schemes that shape the UK’s clean‑energy future.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Lead Quantity Surveyors with contract placement and management across multiple project packages.
• Support commercial assessments of contract proposals and the contractor payment application process.
• Participate in cost audits, contractor entitlement reviews and evaluate time‑ and cost‑impact of compensation events.
• Maintain accurate cost forecasts and ensure compliance with contractual timescales and governance.
• Conduct contract risk reviews and build strong relationships with project managers and contractors.
• Escalate issues proactively and seek support when challenges arise.

Required profile

• HND or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline (or currently studying).
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Construction background preferred with solid knowledge of quantity surveying principles.
• Methodical, process‑driven approach with strong data‑gathering and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to ask for assistance when needed.
• Flexibility to travel occasionally to remote UK locations.
