Cost Manager

About the role

We are recruiting a Cost Manager to support the Head of Cost and Estimating at a Programme and Contract level. This role will manage budgets, actual costs, forecasts, and Earned Value Management (EVM) to help deliver the overall project.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and verify contract‑level cost performance, ensuring data reflects Programme performance for reporting.
• Validate and communicate cost performance data submitted by delivery teams to the Programme.
• Assist development of contract‑level performance reports, including Earned Value Management (EVM), forecasted costs, and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
• Support the Head of Cost with team adherence to cost performance processes and procedures.
• Provide technical support to Project Controls Managers on cost performance and collaborate with the supply chain to enhance cost performance.

Required profile

• Experience in cost management or project controls within a major project lifecycle.
• Proven ability to produce performance reports, including EVM, forecasts, and budgets.
• Experience using cost management systems such as Prism and EcoSys.
• Knowledge of core project controls: baseline maintenance, schedule management, cost performance, change and risk management, and performance reporting.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, including NEC, amendments, early warning notices, and related workflows.
