Audio Visual Technical Estimation Manager

About the role

proAV Ltd is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Technical Estimation Manager to lead the estimating function for its Midlands team. The role combines commercial responsibility with direct technical account management for a key client, ensuring accurate quotations and high‑quality AV solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate, commercially aware quotations covering equipment, labour, engineering and delivery requirements.
• Maintain the regional estimating log, providing visibility of opportunities, workload and quotation status.
• Support the sales team in developing technically sound solutions and maintain strong supplier relationships for competitive pricing.
• Act as the client’s technical account manager, advising on AV standards, designing bespoke solutions and reviewing post‑sales designs.
• Attend bi‑weekly account meetings, monitor project pipelines and assist Project Managers during installation.
• Identify and implement improvements to estimating processes and quotation quality.

Required profile

• Excellent organisational and customer‑service skills with a friendly, proactive approach.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem‑solving capability and effective communication at all levels.
• Experience in developing staff through training, skills matrices and mentorship.
