Audit Associate – Manchester

About the role

Pro‑Finance, a respected and growing accountancy firm, is seeking an ambitious Audit Associate to join its expanding audit team in Manchester. This role is ideal for a second‑ or third‑year ACA or ACCA student who wants to work on a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from large corporate groups to not‑for‑profit organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist on statutory audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Work with a varied client base, including large corporate groups with turnovers up to £500 m.
• Prepare and review financial statements for single entities and group companies.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support the development and coaching of trainee team members.
• Collaborate closely with Managers and Partners to deliver high‑quality client service.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA studies in progress (typically second or third year).
• Previous audit experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong audit experience with exposure to statutory audits.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, organised and commercially minded.
