Audit Senior – Accountancy & Advisory

About the role

Pro-Finance, a leading mid‑tier accountancy and advisory firm in Manchester, is seeking an ambitious Audit Senior to join its expanding Audit & Assurance team. You will own a varied portfolio of audit assignments, work closely with managers and partners, and mentor junior team members while gaining exposure to high‑quality clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion for a diverse client portfolio.
• Prepare statutory accounts and financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact.
• Supervise, coach and review the work of junior audit team members.
• Collaborate with managers and partners to deliver high‑quality client service.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and add value for clients.
• Support the growth of the audit department through exceptional client delivery.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or recently qualified, with up to two years post‑qualification experience.
• Previous audit experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines effectively.
• Proactive, commercially minded and eager to develop your career.
