Audit Senior

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join our Birmingham office. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while leading audit engagements from planning through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning to final delivery.
• Prepare and review audit fieldwork and financial statements.
• Supervise and support junior team members both on‑site and remotely.
• Liaise directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
• Ensure audits are delivered within budget and agreed timescales.
• Identify key risk areas and apply appropriate audit testing.
• Support managers with technical issues and audit file reviews.
• Contribute to the completion of statutory accounts and audit files.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA part‑qualified or newly qualified.
• Strong background in UK practice audit work.
• Experience leading audit sections or smaller audits.
• Confidence in supervising and reviewing junior staff.
• Strong understanding of audit methodology and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work across multiple assignments.
