Audit Senior / Semi Senior

About the role

We are looking for an Audit Senior or Semi‑Senior to join the Corporate Services team of a rapidly expanding independent accountancy and business advisory firm. The role involves delivering high‑quality audit, accounting and tax services to a diverse client base while supporting the development of the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and supervise audit assignments on‑site or remotely.
• Support partners and managers with compliance, planning and client service matters.
• Prepare and review client accounts, tax and VAT work to required standards.
• Conduct remuneration planning and assist with higher‑level technical audit and tax compliance work.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and add‑value advice.
• Finalize paperwork for clients and HMRC, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Liaise proactively with clients to obtain information and address queries.
• Monitor own job quality, budgets and chargeable time recovery.
• Coach and supervise trainees, reviewing their assignments.
• Attend relevant training courses and use support networks for complex queries.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or part‑qualified).
• Proven accounts experience within a practice environment.
• Strong knowledge of all taxes.
• Experience with accounting systems and client software.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Familiarity with CCH research tools.
