Back-End Engineer – AI Agent Platform

About the role

Taktile is building an AI‑powered platform that lets teams automate complex financial‑service workflows. The Agents team owns the execution runtime and tool orchestration, and is looking for a Back‑End Engineer to deliver production features across this stack.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and ship backend features for the AI agent platform using Python (FastAPI) on AWS serverless infrastructure.
• Own features end‑to‑end: scope, develop, test, release, and iterate based on customer feedback.
• Improve agent reliability, tool integration, and error handling.
• Review pull requests, raise test coverage, and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in daily syncs, planning, demos and technical deep‑dives.
• Take part in daytime ops duties and eventually join an on‑call rotation to build DevSecOps expertise.

Required profile

• Strong engineering fundamentals with a focus on simplicity and precision.
• Fluent written and spoken English for remote collaboration and AI interaction.
• Professional experience in Python back‑end development (not entry‑level).
• Proven experience building and operating RESTful APIs and working with databases.
• Hands‑on experience integrating services with AWS or similar cloud providers.
