Backend Engineer (Node/TypeScript) – Hybrid London

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join the core commerce and clinical journey team at +Me. You will work on the e‑commerce stack, consultation engine, patient and prescription systems, and order generation that power our skincare and health‑tech brands. The role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Paddington HQ.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain APIs, data models and services for consultations, prescriptions and order generation.
• Take backend features from ticket to production, ensuring performance, correctness and reliability.
• Write clean, well‑tested code that can be easily extended by other engineers.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and occasionally make frontend (React) adjustments when needed.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of hands‑on experience building backend services and APIs with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong fundamentals in data modelling, API design and testing.
• Attention to detail, as defects can affect prescriptions or shipments.
• Clear written communication for PRs and documentation.
