Backshift Warehouse Operative – Afternoon Shift

About the role

DX Network Services is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative for the back‑shift/afternoon period in Manchester. You will be part of a team that ensures freight is safely unloaded, loaded and prepared for delivery routes across the UK and Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Unload and load freight from vehicles using appropriate equipment and PPE.
• Verify that all items match paperwork or scanner data before moving.
• Handle freight with care, reporting any damage immediately to the line manager.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following DX manual‑handling and safety policies.
• Assist the delivery operation by ensuring the correct goods are loaded for each route.

Required profile

• Professional attitude and ability to represent DX positively.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
• Flexibility to work back‑shift/afternoon hours.

Required skills

• Manual handling techniques.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Basic knowledge of warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet trucks, lifts).
