Bank Senior Clinical Pharmacist – Oncology

About the role

Cleveland Clinic London is establishing a new Oncology Centre and seeks experienced senior clinical pharmacists to build the service from the ground up. The Bank Senior Clinical Pharmacist will shape guidelines, policies and protocols to ensure a safe, patient‑centred oncology pharmacy service from day one. Flexible shifts are available between 08:00 and 20:00, Monday to Friday, with potential weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement pharmacy service standards, guidelines and care pathways for oncology.
• Support introduction of new medicines, commissioning decisions and treatment protocols in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Lead day‑to‑day clinical pharmacy service for oncology and haematology patients across inpatient wards, chemotherapy day unit and outpatient clinics.
• Act as an authorised pharmacist in the aseptic unit, validating and releasing chemotherapy, biological and CIVAS products.
• Maintain up‑to‑date oncology pharmaceutical guidelines, protocols and Patient Group Directions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in pharmacy (or equivalent) – essential.
• Post‑graduate clinical diploma in clinical pharmacy (hospital) or equivalent experience – essential.
• Full registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) – essential.
• Significant experience in oncology and/or haematology pharmacy – essential.
• Experience of clinical verification of SACT prescriptions – essential.

Required skills

• Clinical verification of systemic anti‑cancer therapy (SACT) prescriptions.
• Aseptic pharmacy handling and release of chemotherapy, biological and CIVAS products.
