Bid Manager – Strategic Bids for Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Tetra Tech is seeking a Bid Manager to lead high‑value, strategic bids for major infrastructure, environmental and engineering projects across the UK and Ireland. The role is hybrid, based in Birmingham, London, Leeds or Bristol, and sits at the centre of the company’s work‑winning activity.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end bid processes for complex submissions valued over £1 million, from qualification to final delivery.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs from senior leaders, technical specialists, marketing and business development teams.
• Develop compliant, persuasive proposals that align with client needs, market drivers and technical capabilities.
• Manage governance, planning and quality‑assurance processes to ensure high‑quality submissions.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert on bidding best practice and mentor colleagues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing strategic, high‑value bids within the construction, engineering or infrastructure sector.
• Strong understanding of client requirements, market dynamics and technical delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across regions and external organisations.
