Billing Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Billing Manager to lead end‑to‑end billing operations for accommodation and travel services. Based in Manchester city centre, the role offers flexible start times and a hybrid working model (two days remote per week). You will own the full billing cycle while driving efficiency and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accurate supplier payments and client invoicing across a team of 35 staff.
• Implement and maintain robust controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Resolve escalated billing queries and improve customer experience.
• Lead a team of three direct reports, fostering development and performance.
• Identify and deliver process improvements to increase efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large transactional teams, preferably in a shared‑service environment.
• Minimum five years of hands‑on accounting experience or relevant qualifications.
• Strong customer‑centric mindset with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
• Demonstrated ability to drive change and improve processes.
