BMS Service Engineer – Greater London

About the role

We are seeking a skilled BMS Service Engineer to support our industrial client across Greater London. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and commissioning building management and HVAC control systems on a variety of sites within the M25.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on BMS equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair faults on BMS and HVAC control systems.
• Install, configure, test and commission BMS controllers, sensors, actuators and related hardware.
• Perform software updates, minor programming changes and system optimisation.
• Respond to reactive breakdowns and participate in an on‑call rota.
• Monitor system performance and recommend energy‑saving or remedial improvements.
• Prepare quotations, service reports and technical documentation.

Required profile

• City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience with BMS/BEMS and HVAC controls.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to obtain a DBS check.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional out‑of‑hours on‑call duties.

Required skills

• Trend, Tridium (Niagara), Distech and Siemens BMS platforms.
• HVAC control system knowledge.
• Planned preventative maintenance and commissioning of BMS.
• Fault diagnosis within electrical control panels.
• Interpretation of electrical and mechanical schematic drawings.
• Basic IT networking knowledge.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.

• £27.26 per hour (PAYE) on a 3‑month fixed‑term contract, with potential for permanent placement.
