Bricklaying Lecturer – Further Education

About the role
We are recruiting experienced Bricklaying Lecturers to deliver vocational training for a range of well‑established further‑education providers in North London. The role involves planning and delivering engaging bricklaying lessons, supporting learners to develop practical skills, technical knowledge and industry‑standard practices.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality bricklaying lessons across multiple levels.
- Assess, monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate teaching records in line with college requirements.
- Create a positive, inclusive workshop environment and manage health & safety compliance.
- Support learners in mastering practical bricklaying techniques and industry‑relevant knowledge.
- Contribute to learner achievement, retention and progression.
Required profile
- Relevant qualification in Bricklaying, Construction or a related trade.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
- Experience teaching bricklaying in further, secondary, higher or adult education settings.
- Strong classroom and workshop management skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
