Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Support for SEND Pupils

About the role

Bruntcliffe Academy is looking for a committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), in both classroom settings and targeted intervention activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support for pupils, especially those with SEND, within the classroom and through focused interventions.
• Create an inclusive, safe and supportive learning environment that promotes independence, confidence and engagement.
• Assist teachers with effective management of pupils and classroom activities.
• Help promote pupils’ progress by encouraging active participation in learning.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and adults and work constructively as part of a team.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills to support learning effectively.
• Experience supporting pupils in an educational setting or an equivalent qualification.
• Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and supporting pupils to make excellent progress.
