Building Consultant – Sub‑surface Damage Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Building Consultant to join our expert team in London. The role focuses on investigating and diagnosing subsidence, cracking and structural collapse in residential and commercial properties, and delivering clear technical advice to clients, insurers and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and assess properties affected by subsidence, cracking or collapse.
• Diagnose the underlying causes and extent of damage.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, recommendations and advice for clients, insurers and contractors.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on a variety of projects and locations.

Required profile

• MRICS, Assoc. RICS, MCIOB or progression towards a recognised professional qualification.
• Previous experience in subsidence engineering or a similar building pathology role.
• Practical, hands‑on approach to investigations.
• Creative and analytical mindset with a strong eye for detail and quality.
